Discussion with Prof. Henriette from the University of Copenhagen

 

Serang, 7 Mei 2025  – Prof. Henriette Tolstrup Holmegaard, a professor from the Department of Education, University of Copenhagen visited the Sindangsari Campus to meet the Rector of Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (UNTIRTA), Prof. Fatah Sulaiman. This is part of our diplomacy to create spread UNTIRTA’s global vision by bridging the possible joint programs together.

Prof. Fatah Sulaiman explained the concept of the sustainable buildings in UNTIRTA which involving the solar panels that can emerge 0,5 Mw electrical capacity so we can sell the supply and reduce the electricity cost. Additionally, the solar panels are built on the rooftop of every building in Sindangsari Campus. On the other hand, the integrated fiber optic management may allow a fast and adaptive information system so the data transfers from five different campus could be accomodated.

Prof. Henriette Tolstrup Holmegaard showed enthusiastic statement regarding the technology used in UNTIRTA. She stated that this innovation is one of the most discussed topic in the academic life among the Skandinavian countries, such as Sweden and Denmark. Furthermore, Prof. Henriette Tolstrup Holmegaard would be glad to welcome Prof. Fatah Sulaiman’s plan to visit the University of Copenhagen in the next opportunity. She will be able to bridge the potential collaborations and partnerships matters between Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa and University of Copenhagen.

On top of that, she was conducting a 30-minutes podcast in the Faculty of Social and Political Science, hosted by Bunga and Akas as the partnerships team of the Language Center & International Office. There were many interesting topics delivered during the podcast, including how genders affect the choosing phase of certain majors, the diversity of Denmark, and the overview of the University of Copenhagen.
